This Makeup Artist Contract (hereinafter referred to as the “CONTRACT”) made and entered into this _____ day of _____________, 20___, by and between:

Description of Services

Be as straightforward as possible. State whether the service is a once-off or ongoing, how many people will be serviced (in the case of a wedding, etc.), and also what treatments the artist will complete. You can also include what the clients must do beforehand to ensure the process moves quickly and effortlessly.

Makeup Artist will provide makeup services for (insert type of event) to the Client.

Scope of Work

Makeup Artist shall be responsible for the following:

Consulting with the Client to determine the desired look for the event Providing a trial run (insert number, e.g., 15 days) days prior to the event Arriving on time and setting up a workstation to avoid any inconvenience Applying makeup for the Client or the person/s who the Client is representing

Time, Date, and Place

(insert event name, e.g., wedding or birthday) event will take place at (insert address/location) on (insert date in mm.dd.yyyy format) at (insert time).

Client requires the makeup to be done by (insert number) hours before the event and ready by (insert time).

Payment

Fixed fee: Makeup Artist shall charge the Client a total fee of (insert currency and amount)

Hourly Rate: Makeup Artist shall charge the Client (insert currency and amount) per hour

Hourly fees are based on the time required to complete the project as estimated by the Makeup Artist. If the project takes less time than estimated, the Client will still be charged the full estimated amount. If the project takes more time than estimated, the Client will be charged the prorated hourly rate for the additional time.

Terms of Payment

Some makeup artist contracts require a deposit. You can calculate the deposit as a percentage of the service’s total (or estimated total) amount.

Client shall pay (insert %, e.g., 25% or 50%) of the fee as a deposit to confirm the booking of the date, time, and location of the event.

The remaining amount, i.e. (insert remaining %), will be due (insert day, e.g., within 3 business days of, or on/before the day) of the event.

Cancellation Policy

If the Client cancels the event within (insert number, e.g., 3 days or 2 weeks) days/weeks of the event, the deposit will be non-refundable. If the event is canceled due to unforeseen weather conditions, the deposit will be refunded in (insert amount, e.g., half or full).

If the Client reschedules the event, the deposit may be applied to the new event date, pending availability.

In the unlikely scenario that the Makeup Artist cancels the event, an intimation shall be given to the Client at the earliest possible time, and any deposit amount shall be refunded within (insert number, e.g., 3 or 7) business days.

Expenses Reimbursement

Expenses reimbursement can include travel expenses, hotel stays, parking expenses, etc. This section of the agreement should outline what’s included, what the client will be eligible for, and how the artist will claim these expenses.

Client hereby agrees to reimburse the Makeup Artist for any and all reasonable expenses incurred as a result of performing the services detailed in this contract.

Such expenses will include but not be limited to travel, hotel stay, parking expenses, and/or cost of any materials or supplies necessary for the Makeup Artist to perform their services for that specific event.

Client agrees to reimburse the Makeup Artist within (insert number) days of receiving an itemized invoice from the Makeup Artist.

Modify the list of the expenses incurred after discussing with the client beforehand – this will ensure you and the client are on the same page.

Service Location Requirements

The Makeup Artist will provide on-location makeup artist services to the Client at the location and on the date specified in this Contract.

Makeup services will be provided in accordance with the following provisions:

Client will provide a clean, private, well-lit, and temperature-controlled space for makeup application;

In addition, the Client will provide mirror(s), power outlets, and other amenities required to perform the services adequately.
